In an effort to help our North Carolina-based readers feel more connected during these tough times, we’ve thought up something fun called “My North Carolina Window.”

My North Carolina Window: Community Photo Submissions

Because looking out your own window or deep into the eyes of your partner can get boring, we wanted to give you a chance to share photos from your view in North Carolina.

Here’s How to Join

Take a photo of North Carolina from your house, street, or immediate area as many of us are currently in a shelter-in-place situation. Bonus points if there’s a cool view from yours. We’re asking that you NOT make a special trip for this.

The form to submit your photo is located at the bottom of this page.

Props to Jeremy from Discover the Burgh for sharing the idea for this with us and for encouraging us to do the same here in North Carolina.

Funny backstory to this guest submission. Early in the morning on my last day in Cleveland County, I tried to truck it up Crowder’s Mountain to sunrise (pro tip- don’t. The sun doesn’t rise on that side!) But while at the top trying to catch my breath I met this incredible woman who was giving everyone she saw words of encouragement. She was so easy to talk to and just a person who was infectious.
