Botanical Gardens

A visit to one of our amazing botanical gardens is one of the best things to do during spring in North Carolina. This is THE time of year to visit these wonderfully manicured green spaces.

Elvis Festival

Elvis Presley may not be from North Carolina but he played here. In 1956, a very young Elvis performed in Lexington to a sold-out crowd. The first annual Elvis Festival is April 28-May 1.

Cheerwine Festival

Celebrate the sweetness of Cheerwine! This North Carolina drink was born in Salisbury where the annual festival is held on May 21.

Baseball Season

There’s no better way to celebrate spring than with the crack of the bat on opening day in April! Grab a hot dog and a beer over third base and cheer on one of North Carolina’s 11 Minor League Baseball teams.
