We’ve eaten such amazing food from North Carolina’s chefs throughout the years that the wonderful smells and tastes still remain on my mind. Luckily, I can attempt to recreate some of these wonderful dishes with cookbooks offered by some of our state’s best.
- Of course, we couldn’t mention books by NC’s chefs without sharing Vivian Howard’s Deep Run Roots, which is special for the personal nature of her stories and recipes.
- Sam Jones of Skylight Inn and Sam Jones BBQ’s Whole Hog BBQ and Matthew Register’s Southern Smoke are great starters if you love North Carolina barbecue, which we do!
