Welcome to our page that houses the NC Tripping North Carolina Travel Map. If you’re a visual type of planner, this North Carolina travel map will help you find places near your home or wherever you’re staying.

This is also where you’ll find places that we’ve mentioned in our NC Bucket List Guide, inside our BOOK, and in individual articles on this site.

One thing to remember is that this is not a complete listing of everything there is to do in North Carolina. This is our visual representation of all the places we’ve featured on NC Tripping.

As we mention time and again, we’re not done traveling around this awesome state, so stay tuned, follow us, and subscribe for future updates that will lead to new spots on this map and out site.

Waterfalls in North Carolina

Over the years, we’ve seen so many waterfalls in North Carolina, especially during incredible hikes across the state. That’s why it’s only natural to make a list of the best and our personal favorites!

Waterfalls near Asheville, Brevard, and Cherokee

Hundreds of waterfalls near Asheville, Brevard, and Cherokee await, and in being real, we know it will take a long time for you to see them all. Our map shares some favorites that we’ve seen so far, but check back as we do plan to update this one for many years to come!

High Country Waterfalls (near Boone, Blowing Rock, and Banner Elk)

The High Country also hosts some amazing waterfalls near Boone, Blowing Rock, and Banner Elk to accompany the amazing hiking trails in the area.

Highlands Waterfalls (and More Things to Do)

You could easily spend an entire trip in Highlands, hanging around the cozy downtown. However, the town is surrounded by some awesome waterfalls (including Dry Falls and others along the Waterfall Byway) and more things to do in its surroundings.
