Jazz at the NCMA and Music at the Museum in Raleigh kicks off on April 27, 2024.
The NC Museum of Art announced Jazz at the NCMA, which is entering its third year. The event highlights the “transcendent power of jazz as an art form, its African American origins, and its intersections with other musical genres.”

Music at the Museum is presented with Come Hear NC and returns to celebrate North Carolina’s vast musical diversity. From 4:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on April 27, five “NC-rooted artists” will take the stage.
They include:
- Tift Merritt, with special guests Rissi Palmer and Shana Tucker
- Kooley High
- Thao
- Rafiq Bhatia, with Ian Chang and Riley Mulherkar
- Alexis Raeana

Jazz at the NCMA Lineup

The lineup for 2024’s Jazz at the NCMA features seven Grammy-award winners and six Grammy-nominated artists, including:
- Gregory Porter with special guest The Baylor Project (May 23, 2024)
- Brian Culbertson (May 30, 2024)
- Samara Joy and SuperBlue: Kurt Elling & Charlie Hunter (June 6, 2024)
- Babyface (June 7, 2024)
- Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis (June 27, 2024)
- Boney James with special guests Maysa and Kenny Lattimore (July 11, 2024)
- El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico and Luciana Souza with Chico Pinheiro (July 18, 2024)
