What is NC Tribute to the King?

Tribute to the King is a celebration of Elvis Presley and his connection to Lexington, North Carolina.

In 1956, Elvis Presley played a sold-out show in Lexington, North Carolina, just as his career was lifting higher, and the town couldnโ€™t help falling in love with The King.

60 years later, Lexington hosted a sold-out performance of “Elvis ’56,” a Broadway-style tour. The community wanted more and in 2019, the Lexington Tourism Authority held the “Elvis Back in Lexington.”

After these shows, the Lexington Visitor Center would often receive inquiries about the next one. Six years after “Elvis ’56,” NC Tribute to the King was created and the first edition was held in April 2022.
