Fourth of July in Asheville NC

Lake Julian Fireworks at Lake Julian Park

If you already have July 4 plans, you can still attend Lake Julian’s fireworks show! This year, due to challenges with the fireworks supplier, the show will be on June 29.
However, it’s the perfect kick-off to a fun-filled weekend, with food trucks available all day.

Omni Grove Park Inn Fireworks

Downtown Asheville Fireworks

This FREE event in the South Slope (between Coxe and Buxton Avenue) starts on July 4 with The Ultimate Air Dogs (puppy jump contest) from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The fun in downtown Asheville continues with food and live music at 4:30 p.m., and fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
Fourth of July in Banner Elk NC

The town of Banner Elk celebrates the Fourth with its annual Independence Parade at 11:00 a.m. The parade starts at Lees-McRae College and winds through downtown, ending in the town park with a party with food vendors, games, and a rubber duck race.

Independence Day Celebration in Beech Mountain NC

Join the Beech Mountain community on July 6 at 5:00 p.m. for its Independence Day Celebration, complete with a cookout, kid’s activities, live performances, and more.
If Birds Could Fly and DJ Pete Welter are the night’s headliners, playing throughout the evening. Kids can also have fun with inflatables, face painting, Twist the Balloon Man, crafts, and more.

They will be launched from behind the former Bi-Lo Grocery Store (205 NC Highway 9, Black Mountain, NC) and parking will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Fourth of July in Boone NC

Downtown Boone‘s annual 4th of July parade starts at the King Street intersection with Poplar Grove Extension, heading toward its end at Legends on Hardin St. (around the corner from Dan’l Boone Inn).
After the parade, the Town of Boone continues the celebration on the lawn of the iconic Jones House Cultural Center.
Later in the evening, fireworks will light up the sky from Clawson-Burnley Park at the Boone Greenway.

Revolutionary 4th in Kings Mountain

Revolutionary 4th in Kings Mountain honors both our country’s independence and the area’s important role in the Revolutionary War.
This 4th of July event takes place in Deal Park Walking Track at 6:00 p.m.

Gala Boat Parade in Lake Glenville

Backyard Fourth Celebration in Maggie Valley

Marketplace Meltdown Independence Day Celebration in North Wilkesboro

Sugar Mountain Fireworks

A mountain-top fireworks show from Sugar Mountainโs 5,300-foot peak begins around 9:15 p.m. on July 4.
The Summit Express Chairlift opens for the summer on July 4. During the fireworks show, it will run from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Ticket sales for fireworks viewing lift rides end at 8:30 p.m.
Classic Highway performs at the base lodge from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and food and beverages are available at the mountainโs base and beverages are available at the summit of Sugar Mountain.

Sylva’s 10th annual Fireworks Festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. with a performance by Gotcha Groove, one of the finest bands in the Southeast.

Independence Day Celebration and Summer Concert Series in Valdese

Fourth of July in Durham NC
One of our favorite July 4th events in NC happens to be in Durham, as it honors our neighborhood river. There’s also an amazing fireworks show held by the hometown Durham Bulls, and here’s a breakdown of both events.
Festival for the Eno in Durham
Address: West Point on the Eno, 5101 N Roxboro St, Durham, NC

Festival for the Eno (aka Eno Fest) is an iconic Durham event traditionally held at West Point on the Eno on July 4 and the closest weekend day before or after.
This year’s Eno Fest will kick off on July 4 and the second day is July 6. Gates open both days from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with shuttles running throughout the day from the Durham County Stadium.
Over 60 bands will perform on four stages around the banks of the Eno River.
Enofest is also known for its large, juried craft show featuring artisans from the region. Food vendors will be on hand, too, and there’s also a beer garden on site.
Advance tickets for two-day passes are $40 for adults and $15 for children 5-17. Kids under 4 are free. The event raises funds to increase awareness of natural resource conservation and protection of the Eno River basin.

Fireworks after the Durham Bulls Game

Baseball fans in the Triangle can enjoy Independence Day fireworks at the July 4th Durham Bulls game! The Bulls will play the Norfolk Tides at Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
The game starts at 6:35 p.m., and hopefully, the Bulls will dominate. Fireworks are scheduled for 9:15 p.m. and will light up the skies around the DBAP and American Tobacco Campus.

Raleigh’s 4th of July Fireworks celebration starts at 5:30 p.m. in Dorothea Dix Park. The park will be jam-packed with activities for all ages, with a family activity zone with water slides and a foam party pit, a food truck court with over 40 vendors, and stage entertainment.
The night ends with a countdown and a dazzling fireworks show.
Attendees are encouraged to bring refillable water bottles, a change of clothes for the kids, and blankets or chairs for the lawn. No alcohol is allowed, but snacks and picnics are.
Parking is available across Raleigh, and there is a free shuttle to the park from Moore Square that runs from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m.

The Town of Burgaw will be hosting its annual 4th of July Parade on Thursday, July 4th beginning at 10:00 a.m. Golf carts, bikes, rollerskates, pedestrians, and any other non-powered wheeled device are welcome to participate in the parade.
Town staff and members of the Beautification Committee will be giving out free popsicles and water following the parade on the depot dock.
The Burgaw Fire Department will also be participating in the festivities. The amazing first responders will set up the ladder fire truck to spray water for the kids to enjoy!

The festivities will continue on July 3 with a Fundraising Fish Fry for the Ocracoke Preservation Society from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
On July 4, and will include a sand castle sculpture contest at the NPS Lifeguard Beach from 9:30 a.m. to noon and the Ole Tyme Ocracoke-themed Independence Day Parade at 4:00 p.m.
